Outdoor Leadership Skills - Camp Craft - Newport, ME

Gain the skills needed for remote camping and include: tent pitching, building temporary shelters and emergency shelters from natural materials, camp safety, fire building, backpack stove use and maintenance, and review Leave no Trace principles including how to set up a bear bag. 

The Outdoor Leadership Series is designed for educators, aspiring outdoor enthusiasts or for professionals that want to gain new information or new perspectives on old skills. Each week, we will have an opportunity to explore a different topic. This course will be very informative and hands-on. Most days we will start in the classroom and then proceed to go outside for various demonstrations and activities. See below list for program.
