Interested in gathering your vegetables or apples in a basket this year? How about with a basket that you made! Choose between two baskets: The Bike Basket, The Gathering Basket, or the Farmer’s Market Basket (descriptions below). We will go through the process of making the basket step-by-step ensuring all will walk away with a finished basket. This class is for any basket-making ability, from beginners on up. Join us to make a beautiful basket and learn a skill for life!

The Gathering Basket – Finished size is approximately 10” x 10” at the base with a height of 8.” A wooden swing handle stretches to 14” in height. This basket will have a unique style: students will follow a pattern using 1/4”, 1/2”, and 1″ premium reed weavers, and adding diagonal-colored weavers using the French “Randing” technique in the center of the basket.

The Bike Basket – Finished size is approximately 6” × 10” at the base with a height of 8.” A classic design made from premium reed and finished with durable leather straps for secure, stylish attachment to your bike. Note: If you prefer, you can use this basket as a tote with cotton straps instead of the bike basket (or leather shoulder straps, which will be available for purchase).

Farmer’s Market - Finished size is approximately Base 4”x12” Height 12”-14” This is a beautiful and functional tote with cotton handles (leather straps available for purchase). Designed as a square-round basket, made out of premium reed each basket can be uniquely personalized adding your own color and design.

Students can choose their basket on the day of class.
