Whittling is a wonderful skill that can turn a block of wood into a functional tool i.e.. a spoon. This spoon will be a great addition to your gourd bowl and cup. Here is what we will go over:
Gathering the proper tools and materials
Caring and sharpening your tools
Using your knives and various techniques
Refining your cut
Selecting the wood and how to prepare it
Creating a rough shape
How to make the “bowl”
Shaping the handle and creating designs
Sanding and treating the spoon
Remember to take your time, work carefully, and practice!
